Laika Heritage Stay is a fully renovated 120 year old bungalow with a lot of indoor and outdoor space. This house takes you back in time and the lush garden provides an abundance of peace and calm. It's located in the old heart of Mysore, in close distance to the train station, airport, Kukkarahalli Lake, Mysore Palace, and Chamundi Hill.
Located three miles from the Mysore Palace, Laika Heritage is an oasis of calm, in a neighborhood called Laxmipuram. Here is where Pattabhi Jois began his research and teaching in Ashtanga Yoga. Today the neighborhood has six strong Yoga schools and guests are invited to drop in to a local class within walking distance, or join class under our Honge Tree (Indian Birch Tree) and practice to the sound of birds. Nearby, one can find the best Pizza in Mysore and yes Maya Pizza (Old Stone House) delivers. Big Bazaar has anything needed to cook in our open kitchen, and wonderful Dosa and idly close by. Take an early morning or late afternoon walk around Kukkarahalli Lake just a mile away or a walk up Chamundi. Your hosts have lived in the area for over a decade and ready to guide you to hidden gems.

We are a homely property tucked away in a quiet neighbourhood. Hence we do not encourage parties and love hosting people who value serenity. We do allow drinking when done responsibly and without disrupting the peace.
Smoking is permitted only outdoors in the garden area.
No, unfortunately it is not. But there is a stair free access to the back of the house and we will do our best to accommodate any special needs.
Yes, we understand that pets are part of your family too.
You can visit The Mysore Palace, take a day trip to Chamundi Hills, enjoy a beautiful scenic walk around Kukkarahalli Lake, Mysore Zoo (although we recommend you appreciate wildlife in their natural habitat) and many more attractions.
Next door we have Marata Mess that serves veg/ non-veg food and at a 2 minute walking distance is Mahesh Prasad who serves veg food.
Swiggy is always available for deliveries.
We have a fully equipped kitchen and a caretaker onsite who can assist with cooking. However, you would need to buy all the groceries yourself and take the lead on cooking.

We are very centrally located, the palace is only 2.9 kms away and takes 10 minutes to drive there.

We would love for our guests to have a lovely time by simultaneously also keeping in mind the serenity of the neighbourhood. You can play music in the property only until 10pm.
